Build for operation
The work should stay understandable after launch, not just during the sprint.

I build backend APIs with NestJS, Laravel, and FastAPI, and operate the AWS/Azure infrastructure they run on — CI/CD, NGINX, Docker, and the day-two work most people skip.

Backend systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD
Working style
Calm, reliable, delivery-first
I’m focused on backend services and the cloud infrastructure around them. I work across NestJS, Django, and FastAPI on the service side, and AWS on the infrastructure side — building, deploying, and operating the systems I ship.

I work where backend engineering meets operations. On any given week that means designing an API in NestJS or Django, wiring up a GitHub Actions pipeline, fronting services with NGINX and SSL, and keeping the PostgreSQL and Redis layers behind them healthy.
I started out writing software at OpensDigital in 2019 and have spent the years since moving deeper into the infrastructure side of the work — because the parts of delivery that actually break tend to live there.
My bias is toward systems that are easy to operate, easy to debug, and thoughtful about the long run. I care about clean delivery as much as I care about clean code.
01 / 03
The work should stay understandable after launch, not just during the sprint.
02 / 03
Pipelines, environments, and release practices should reduce tension for the team.
03 / 03
I prefer fewer, better decisions over noise that only looks busy.

Shipping quickly matters, but the better lesson is staying clear and decisive when the timeline compresses.
Working approach
Considered at every layer — from application code, to infrastructure, release flow, and daily operations.
Six years across five companies — from early software and cloud work at OpensDigital, through multi-tenant platforms at VeldtsDigital, to running AWS infrastructure at Meerge Africa and shipping backend APIs at Frootify.

Real products I’ve helped ship or maintain — storefronts, booking platforms, school operations, community reporting, personal finance. Different stacks, same standard: the thing has to run in production without me babysitting it.
Commerce Platform
Storefront infrastructure for small businesses ready to sell online.
Marketplace
Workspace discovery and booking across flexible work locations.
EdTech SaaS
Enterprise software for school operations, records, and workflows.
Civic Tech
A map-first reporting tool for surfacing community issues faster.
Travel Booking
Hotel search and booking platform with admin-managed listings.
An online platform for searching and booking hotel rooms. Users can register, explore hotels, and make bookings while admins manage listings, rooms, and reservations.
Personal Finance
Budgeting and expense control app with real-time spending alerts.
A personal finance platform for tracking income, categorising expenses, and enforcing budget limits. Includes authentication, real-time alerts, and APIs for managing transactions, categories, and budgets across users.
NestJS, Laravel, and FastAPI on the service side. AWS and Azure on the infrastructure side. Postgres, Redis, Docker, NGINX, and GitHub Actions tying it all together. Everything listed here is something I’ve actually used in production.

AWS, Oracle Cloud, ALX, and 3MTT credentials. I pursue them when the material lines up with what I’m already building — not as a shelf of badges, but as a way to pressure-test the cloud and DevOps work I do every day.
ALX Software Engineering (Backend) for structured fundamentals and an in-view Computer Science B.Sc at the National Open University of Nigeria. Both sit alongside day-to-day shipping — neither replaces it.

I write on Hashnode when a pattern, a bug, or a deployment lesson is worth documenting for the next engineer — usually me, six months later, staring at the same problem.
I take on contract and full-time work across backend APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS infrastructure. The fastest route is email — I reply within a working day.
